Role Description :-
This is a full-time remote role for a Cloud Security Specialist. The Cloud Security Specialist
will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with ensuring the security and
reliability of Xploreteq's cloud-based technology services. These tasks will include but not be
limited to cybersecurity, physical security, network security, information security, and
communication.
The scope of responsibility includes:
- Develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy AWS/Azure
security, including large- scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical
modelling, and advanced analytics - Educate teams on implementing new cloud-based security initiatives, providing
associated training as required. - Collaborating with development and quality assurance teams to build, automate, &
manage local and cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure. - Set up, configure & maintain a centralised monitoring system for
applications/software, servers, and IT infrastructure like Prometheus, grafana and
Cloudwatch. - Set up and configure different CI/CD pipelines to automate the integration and
continuous deployment on different environments via Gitlab, bitbucket Jenkins,
GitHub and AWS pipelines, including static code and infrastructure assessments. - Configured CI/CD pipelines to execute the Quality Assurance tests for continuous
testing and code analysis on every new commit. - Security Incident Management and root cause analysis.
Defining and setting development, testing, release, update, and support processes
for DevOps operation. Identifying and deploying Cybersecurity measures by
continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management. - Recommends performance enhancements by performing gap analysis, identifying
alternative solutions, and assisting with modifications. - Automate the infrastructure creation and provisioning using Ansible and Terraform.
- AWS services administration and integration e.g., IAM, VPC, RDS, EFS, ECR Route
53, EC2, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, ELB, cloud front, security groups, cognito, ECR ECS,
EKS - Monitor, analyse and report performance statistics for cloud-hosted environments.
- Manage secret keys and IAM part of the cloud environment.
- Deploy/Manage AWS group security and firewall in AWS/Azure infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Cybersecurity and Network Security skills
- Physical Security and Information Security skills
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and their security mechanisms
- Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls for cloud
environments - Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
Certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information
Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
are a plus.
